History in the Making

President Obama.

Not something I thought would happen.

Well, I can't say that.

I had a feeling it would happen but I hoped it wouldn't.

But it has, so now we deal.

My saving grace is that I know that God is still in control.

He knew the outcome of this election long before any of us were even thought of.

I believe this was His plan. His will.

I don't understand but it's not for me to understand.

So I will continue to go about my life and pray for the country in which I live.

A country to which I can still say I am so proud to be a citizen of.

I pray that doesn't change in the next four years.

Can I tell you the frustration I am feeling this morning? Not necessarily because Obama won. Like you said, I kind of knew that was coming. But the response to him last night and then this morning. People sobbing and raising their hands to him and thanking him for hope. He's not Jesus!
The whole "first black president" thing is bugging me too. Not because I don't think a black man should be president. It shouldn't matter what color he is as long as he's qualified. We've been hearing through this whole thing that race shouldn't be an issue but it clearly was. 95% of African Americans voted for him. 95! I can't believe 95% of black people suddenly became Democrats. They didn't vote because of issues they voted because of color. It was definitely a race thing.
Can you tell I'm a little fired up about it? I'll stop now and say PRAISE THE LORD He is in control! He's watching out for us! "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!"

we didn't win in the presidential area this year... but in Florida we did win something... we voted yes more than 60% to an amendment keeping marriage one man to one woman. we're happy about that cause if it didn't pass Pastors that preached the WORD of GOD could go to jail for preaching the WORD of GOD. I am thankful we don't have to deal with that... at least this time around.

Ditto to what you said. Ditto to what Kelly said. I don't agree with Obama in most areas but I do believe he was elected for a reason. I may not know the reason now, may not ever know it however, he is our president elect. I will pray for him and I will respect him as president.
